Viral Taco Traffic is an Ad Exchange site. They primarily use ads and banners – mostly on this site – so that one can promote one’s offer. In fact, when you finally get logged in, you will see that the site is a sea of advertisements of various kinds. There is no email, though they might mention it. You can connect with some other members, but that is not the focus.
There are some similarities to other traffic sites, but one thing I notice is the ability of the owner of Viral Taco Traffic to leverage the account to her advantage with other advertising that surely has her own affiliate ID associated with it.
NOTE: I have looked at Viral Taco Mailer as a “free” user and have no affiliate interest in it or any other related website listed in this article.
Who Owns Viral Taco Traffic?
The site seems to be owned by Marci L. Jones-Fritz. She also owns a few other websites within the “online traffic” realm, namely:
- viralcommissions.net – seems to be just like Viral Taco Traffic
- viralcommandoprofits.net – Re-Brand their Viral Commando Profits E-Book, and other E-Book stuff
- commandomailer.com – “One mission: Getting Your Email Delivered!”
- jones-fritzmarketing.com – a more legitimate-looking site with the tags: “no cost online advertising” touting “targeted viral traffic”
Her picture is on all of the sites, so we know it is her, or at least seems to be. It’s interesting that the domain owner name is cloaked, so you don’t know for sure that it is Ms. Jones-Fritz.
The sites are operated out of the United States.
Some Statistics
On the site, they claim to have 5,202 members (as of writing this article).
I used Statscrop to look under the hood:
- Site age: 6 years (so they’ve been around a while)
- Daily visitors: 700 – primarily from the US and Kenya
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars
- SEO score: 46.9%
- Site referrals from Viral Taco Traffic include some unsavory websites – I’m guessing they are members promoting pornographic sites from Viral Taco Traffic
My takeaway:
- They don’t have that many members for having been around for 6 years
- Only about 13.5% of the members visit regularly, which isn’t very many. Since there is a one-time registration, I’m thinking some signed up, did not find value, and simply gave up. They don’t offer any refunds and say that up front.
- The SEO score and ratings are low.
The Squeeze Page
The first sales “squeeze page” (landing page) for Viral Taco Traffic states:
“Tasty Viral Advertising System Delivers Free Banner Ads & Text Ads And Even Pays Out Hot Commissions
Congratulations! You Have Been Granted Free Instant Access To Immediately Get Traffic To Promote Your Offers, Squeeze Pages, Landing Pages, Splash Pages And Add a Spicy Flood of Responsive Subscribers to YOUR List!”
It goes on to say:
“Enjoy the instant traffic and exposure with almost no effort whatsoever. You can setup your ads in just minutes and get quick results with our easy-to-follow system! We’ve made it real simple here!
Join, Setup Your Ads, Set Up Your Profile, Set up Your Viral Taco Traffic sales funnel, and Promote! Earn Commissions & Advertising! No Confusing System To Learn ..Simple!”
Let’s Examine the Claims More Closely
“Delivers Free Banner Ads & Text Ads”
You have to set up your ads and pay money OR surf ads, so it is not, technically, free. There really is no guarantee of traffic.
“…And Even Pays Out Hot Commissions”
If you find traffic somewhere and refer someone to the website and they pay to be a member, you will earn a commission. It won’t be that easy and it won’t be hot.
“…Granted Free Instant Access”
Sure, free access – but you will go through 6 more layers of other squeeze pages to get into the program.
“…instant traffic and exposure with almost no effort whatsoever”
Ha! Don’t make me laugh! You’ll have to figure it out, set up your ads, if you are a free member, surf some ads – Oh, Bother!
“No Confusing System To Learn ..Simple!”
Not so simple for the uninitiated, that is for sure.
What is it with Gmail?
You can only sign up with a Gmail account. I don’t know everything about the internet. I do know quite a bit about email, and don’t understand why you can only sign up using a Gmail account. I tried to find more information regarding this, but to no avail. (if you know something, and can shed light on this, please put it in the comments, and I can add it to the article)
But, anyway, they have a fixation with Gmail and you have to use that or forget it if you want to check the program out.
Seven Levels of Squeeze Pages!
So, you sign up for the free version on Squeeze Page #1, and you first need to validate your email, which you do.
THEN start the downsells, trying to get something – anything – from your pocketbook.
Squeeze Page #2
“Thank you for confirming your email address!
Get Clicks, Traffic, Opt-Ins & Sales For Life
From Our Founding Taco Membership
Plus 90% Commissions!
Strictly Limited To The Action Takers”
Pro Tip: Whenever someone uses the phrase “action taker”, just insert the word “sucker”.
“Here’s your chance to grab a hold of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for ongoing clicks, traffic, opt-ins & sales FOR LIFE as a Founder Taco Member of Viral Taco Traffic.”
Once-in-a-lifetime? Really?
“Founding Taco Membership”: $97 one time
NOTE: Just so I could show it to you, I was going to spend it, and I’m oh, so glad I didn’t, because the pages that ensued were hilarious.
Squeeze Page #3
Starts with:
“Awww, I Was So Proud Of That Last Offer..”
And goes on to the downsell – blah blah blah…
“JV Taco” level: $27one time
Squeeze Page #4
“Here’s One Last Huge Offer At Such A Huge Discount…
How about we still give you an increase of 15% in commissions!”
Blah blah blah…
“Elite Membership”: $17 one time
Squeeze Page #5
Starts with this big banner:
“Here’s Your Chance To Upgrade
To Platinum Taco So You Can Get More Advertising Power, Earn 50% Commissions And Receive Over $1,000 In Bonus Advertising!”
(Notice here we are “upgrading”. Fancy!!)
PS Guess what else you get? “More hands free viral exposure at ViralCommissions.net (remember them from above – same owner, so no big stretch here)
“Platinum Taco”: $11 one time (yes, it’s cheaper, but we just upgraded!)
Squeeze Page #6
“Get everything in the first offer (except 2 items)”
(Whew! Glad I waited!!!!!)
“Platinum Member”: $7
Squeeze Page #7
“Okay – Here’s Your Last Chance….
Upgrade For Just $5.00!
Compare Our Membership Levels Below
To See All The Extra TRAFFIC & Perks You
Get With This Special Offer…”
“Platinum Level”: $5
Desperation…
All along the way, it was “this is your last chance”. Ha Ha! Once in, if I click on “Founding Member” at the bottom, I can still get it for $97 – not my last chance!!! AND, if I click through, I get another offer at $17 all over again.
It seems like desperation in the end.
Oh, if I were to speak to Ms. Jones-Fritz she would likely see it otherwise. I’ve missed a big opportunity. I surely don’t know what I’m missing.
We went from $97 down to a mere $5. Surely most people would spend $5, right?
But, here’s the important part:
I still have all my money in my pocket, and those banner and text ads won’t do a thing for me, I am absolutely, without any doubt, certain of it. And they would not do anything for you either.
Moreover, I will not recommend anything to you that will not drive your actual website, program or passion forward.
The Bottom Line
People who look for programs like this are looking for ways to promote their deals, sites and passions, NOT to earn commissions trying to sell “Viral Taco Traffic” to anyone.
On the flip side, sometimes I do recommend sites that will help, if used as part of your overall promotion strategy, and where maybe you might want to earn a little extra commission if your recommend someone.
Viral Taco Traffic is not that site. This site is just there to put money in the owner’s pocket.
Recommendation:
This is a big fat NO!
Thanks for this detailed review of Viral Taco Traffic. I think you will be helping a lot of people. I have seen their ads on a lot of traffic exchange sites. As an internet affiliate, I was going to investigate them before signing up with them,, You just save me time! Thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome, Carole! Thats what I’m here for!
Hello there, there are so many sites online that make you have traffic to your site and Joh have to be careful not to get involved with the sites and I have to admit that is one very good platform you have shared information about and its really good to see. Getting site traffic is very important
Thanks for writing this article to review and give information in viral taco traffic. From reading this article I have been able to gain experience on how viral taco traffic operates and to see reasons with you that is not legit, but rather a scam. This article has been really helpful and interesting.
Hello there, thanks a lot for sharing this beautiful piece of information here with us. I must say i really did enjoyed going through your review as it contains valuable informations one needs to be aware of. I am glad i came across this before getting to know them so i will definitely not fall prey for this, thanks for the info
Hello there, thanks for sharing this awesome article I know it would be of great help to the public as it has been of help to me…I must say I really like this your written article on this awesome brand I hope it pass the I for required about this particular product or brand..
Thank you so much for sharing this review, I always love going through your web page because of reviews like this. Personally though, I never really knew much about viral taco until I came across this review, but tiu came up with a very detailed explanation that made me appreciate it a lot. It seems like a really nice platform
The fact that we can see Marci L. Jones-Fritz on all her sites gave me a bit of peace of mind. But after reading your post, I see that there are quite a few things we should be careful about concerning this site. The idea of driving traffic to our site sounds good. But your concerns about how effective these ads are have also left me thinking about it. Thanks for these warnings.
Thanks for sharing these insights. I like that you point out that the number of users given the age of the business is not very impressive and does not indicate overwhelming success. This combined with the low SEO scores / ratings (for something that is supposed to bring traffic) seems like a huge red flag.
As a positive, the taco mascot with the hat is adorable, but not a good enough reason to sign up!
There are too many uncertainties about the site. I do not like the fact that one can only sign up using a Gmail account. Google has been repeatedly reported for privacy policy infringement and I would not be surprised that the site benefits from having access to one’s personal information since Google is the most used search engine. Any claims that entail “effortless”, is just a scam to me. I would rather use Google Ads or ads on Pinterest to grow my business that such a nonsensical site.
The reason Marci and many others sites like this more than suggest “gmail” is gmail is not known to filter out emails like many other email companies.
HI Lon! Thanks for the info. On ththe other hand, and playing a little devil’s advocate, I “filter” on my own by forcing emails into tabs within Gmail – a feature other email servers don’t have.
Thanks so much for your feedback and insight!
